South Africans' Perspectives On Whether The Government Should Control Which Staff Businesses Can Employ And How Much Staff Is Paid
This report investigates the perspectives of South Africans on whether the government should control which staff businesses can employ, the race of businesses' staff members and how much those staff should be paid. The data comes from a survey of 1 004 demographically and geographically representative registered voters conducted telephonically by the Foundation during June of 2025. That survey had a margin of error of 4%. Totals may not add up to 100% where respondents refused to answer a question.

TENTATIVE CONCLUSIONS
In line with previous Foundation reports, the data suggests that South Africans are averse to any practical government involvement in business affairs. Majorities of South Africans are opposed to government being able to control which staff businesses employ, the race of employees and what those staff members are paid.
