TENTATIVE CONCLUSIONS
The data suggests that South African opinion is split on the question of whether a party requires a black leader to be successful. In both 2022 and 2024 more South Africans said that they believe this to be true than the number who said they believed it to be untrue. If anything the 2024 data suggests that opinion has shifted a little bit in favour of the proposition that parties require black leaders.
