Perceptions of Whether Labour Laws Impede Job Creation
This report investigates the perceptions of registered South African voters towards the countries labour laws. The data is based on a survey of 1 412 geographically and demographically representative registered voters commissioned by the Foundation in October 2023. That survey had a national margin of error of 5%. Totals may not add up to 100% where rounding has occurred or where participants could to answer a question.

TENTATIVE CONCLUSIONS
The data reveals that 80.3% of registered voters believe that the country’s labour laws impede job creation. This finding holds with majorities across all the demographic splits including race, education level, employment status, home language, age and party affiliation.
